BIOGRAPHY
Rashadul Hossain Chowdhury Ronni is recognized as one of Bangladesh's prominent and successful businessmen. Currently, he is a CIP awarded business leader and the Vice President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI). FBCCI is the apex trading organization of Bangladesh playing a crucial role in providing consultative and advisory services, safeguarding the interests of the private sector in the country. He previously served as a Director of FBCCI from 2019 to 2023.
Ronni’s professional journey started in 1997 within the garments sector before expanding into the realm of Export-Import businesses. Through strategic pursuits, he established himself as a leading figure in the business arena. Apart from export apparel and being involved in the media industry, he is the franchise owner of several popular restaurants and hospitality brands.
Ronni Chowdhury's business career for more than twenty years has made a special contribution to the import and export of the country. Although the journey started with a family business of a 100% export-oriented garment factory, he opened new horizons and expanded the business in various fields. The various establishments established by him are now rivals of various reputable brands in Bangladesh, and this is what has brought him to the pinnacle of success.
Born in Dhaka's Old Town, Ronni's ancestral roots are in the village of Mohanpur, Chadpur district. His upbringing in the natural environment of the Old Town fostered his exceptional intellect and sensibility from an early age. He is the youngest son of Mr. Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury (Maya), Bir Bikram, a former Honorable Minister (Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and former MP, Chadpur – 2 Constituency.
Ronni deeply values the lesson imparted by his father—to honor one's obligations to the motherland. As the son of a Freedom Fighter, he inherits the ideals of a free and sovereign Bangladesh, shaped by the sacrifices of the Liberation War of 1971. Such principles guide his endeavors as a businessman and patriot.
<[রাশেদুল হোসেন চৌধুরী (রনি) বাংলাদেশের ব্যবসায়ীক অঙ্গনে একজন সুপরিচিত ব্যক্তিত্ব। বর্তমানে, তিনি একজন সিআইপি পদকপ্রাপ্ত সফল ব্যবসায়ী নেতা এবং ফেডারেশন অব বাংলাদেশ চেম্বার অব কমার্স অ্যান্ড ইন্ডাস্ট্রিজের (এফবিসিসিআই) এর সহ-সভাপতি। এফবিসিসিআই বাংলাদেশের শীর্ষ ব্যবসায়িক সংগঠন যা দেশের বেসরকারি খাতের স্বার্থ রক্ষায় পরামর্শমূলক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে। তিনি এর আগে ২০১৯ থেকে ২০২৩ সাল পর্যন্ত এফবিসিসিআই-এর পরিচালক হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করেন।
রনির পেশাগত যাত্রা ১৯৯৭ সালে গার্মেন্টস শিল্প দিয়ে শুরু হলেও পরবর্তিতে তিনি আমদানি-রপ্তানি ব্যবসায় যুক্ত হন। রপ্তানি পোশাক এবং মিডিয়া শিল্পের সাথে জড়িত থাকার পাশাপাশি, তিনি বেশ কয়েকটি জনপ্রিয় রেস্তোরাঁ এবং বিশ্ববিখ্যাত হোটেল ব্র্যান্ডের ফ্র্যাঞ্চাইজি মালিক।
বিশ বছরেরও বেশি সময় ধরে রনি চৌধুরীর ব্যবসায়িক কর্মকান্ড দেশের আমদানি-রফতানিতে বিশেষ অবদান রেখে চলেছে। একশত ভাগ রপ্তানিমুখী পোশাক কারখানার পারিবারিক ব্যবসা দিয়ে রনি তাঁর যাত্রা শুরু করলেও ব্যবসায়িক ক্ষেত্রে তিনি নতুন দিগন্ত উন্মোচন করেন এবং বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবসার পরিসর বৃদ্ধি করেন।
ঐতিহ্যবাহী পুরান ঢাকায় জন্ম নেওয়া রনির পৈতৃক বাড়ি চাদপুর জেলার মোহনপুর গ্রামে। পুরান ঢাকার কোলাহলপূর্ণ পরিবেশে বড় হওয়া রনি, ছোট থেকেই ব্যতিক্রধর্মী ও উন্নত চিন্তাধারার অধিকারী। রনি, জনাব মোফাজ্জল হোসেন চৌধুরী (মায়া), বীর বিক্রম, এর কনিষ্ঠ পুত্র, যিনি গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী বাংলাদেশ সরকারের দুর্যোগ ব্যবস্থাপনা ও ত্রাণ মন্ত্রণালয় এর একজন সাবেক মাননীয় মন্ত্রী ও চাদপুর-২ আসন এর একজন সাবেক এমপি।
রনি চৌধুরী তাঁর পিতার দেওয়া শিক্ষা ও মূল্যবোধে গভীরভাবে বিশ্বাসী এবং দেশের উন্নয়নে সদা দায়িত্বশীল। একজন মুক্তিযোদ্ধার সন্তান হিসেবে, বিশাল আত্মত্যাগের মাধ্যমে অর্জিত একটি স্বাধীন ও সার্বভৌম বাংলাদেশের একজন দায়িত্বশীল নাগরিক ও সফল ব্যবসায়ী হিসেবে বাংলাদেশের উন্নয়নে অবদান রেখে যেতে চান।

1997Started off Business Career
Started off as a Director of Chowdhury Garments Ltd. Chowdhury Garments is a 100% export oriented sweater factory. Ronni took care of Sales & Marketing of the garments. The factory was located in Mirpur and is now moved to Gazipur, Dhaka
2002Establishment of Wega Zone
Wega Zone Ltd. was established in 2002, had a primary focus on sport marketing and entertainment. The company had a popular pool club located in Baily Road, Dhaka
2004Expansion of Business Horizon
Wega Zone expanded into advertisement business. It became the leading LED road signage advertiser company The LED signages were located inside Dhaka City Corporation area specially in Gulshan, Kakrail, etc.
2009Advertisement & Campaign of DITF
Wega Zone signed an agreement for next 3-years for advertisement & campaign of Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF).
2011Sports Venue Advertisement
Started off till now, Wega Zone provides, maintains and manages the LED screens and scoreboards for several stadiums. Stadiums include Bangabandhu National Stadium, Mirpur Stadium, Sylhet Stadium & Gopalganj Stadium, etc.
2011City Beautification during T20 World Cup
Wega Zone implemented City Beautification Project during T20 World Cup Event hosted by Bangladesh. During this time, roads were decorated with lights, new sculptures were hoisted giving the city an auspicious look
2013Maya Corporation in Real Estate
Maya Corporation was established as an upscale real estate firm which now looks after its all other construction and real estate businesses including several franchises hotels & restaurant brands of Ronni Chowdhury
2015Radio Station
Radio Dhoni FM 91.2 was established and Ronni became its Managing Director. It is the first private national news station of Bangladesh
2015General Secretary of PROAB
Ronni was elected as the General Secretary of Private Radio Owners' Association (PROAB)

Kampai Dhaka will be one of Dhaka's trendiest restaurants, to be launched in March 2022, will serve exquisite Teppanyaki style Japanese cuisines and sushis on conveyor chains. Kampai is franchise restaurant chain originated from India.

Mr. Ronni believes in the lesson that he received of returniung the debts towards his motherland from his father. As a son of a Freedom Fighter, he inherited the pure thoughts of free and sovereign Bangladesh and Liberation War of 1971 in his heart and spirit.
